Curriculum Vitae

After teaching and examining Art and Design for over fifteen years in several high schools in Newcastle upon Tyne, Susan became a self-employed artist/printmaker in 2002. She moved into her current studio in 2003. Since then she has exhibited widely across northern England and Scotland, as well as participating regularly in Northumberland’s open studio event, The Art Tour. She was also a member of the Art Tour Steering Group (2000 - 2007).

She is a member of Northern Print and has continued to develop her printmaking practice through courses in new techniques. She has taken part in masterclasses with Donald Wilkinson, Norman Ackroyd and Mark Balakjian.
